Our people, our values, our Impact

Our people, our values, our Impact

Our values - Integrity, Respect, Creativity, Innovation, Expertise - are at the core of our global business.

As a privately owned, family business, our people are everything. Haymarket’s 1,300 colleagues are at the heart of everything we do, and the results of our latest engagement survey speak for themselves. More than three quarters (79%) of our employees around the world believe our commitment to social responsibility is genuine, as is our commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Haymarket’s culture is truly unique - it’s not just a place to work, but somewhere to grow, feel inspired, and be part of something bigger.

Talent continues to be our greatest advantage. Internally, our own awards continue to shine a spotlight on colleagues whose creativity, insight, and collaborative spirit power Haymarket’s success. These celebrations matter: they reinforce the culture that helps get us external recognition too. With hundreds of entries each year, coupled with glowing endorsements and supporting testimonials, it is always extremely rewarding to witness the respect and admiration Haymarket people have for one another.

Chloe Harman, Editor of MIMS and spokesperson for Haymarket's UK Environment Network said: “Winning the Impact Innovator award and being globally recognised feels amazing! It means a huge amount to all of us in the UK Environment Network because it makes us feel like our efforts are not only making a difference, but are seen and valued by the company. This is a particularly special award category because it means that Haymarket genuinely believes in making the world a better place."

Colleague of the Year – Charmiane Alexander, Digital Editor, PrintWeek India: “Being recognised nationally and globally at Haymarket is an honour. The opportunity to lead across verticals pushed me to grow quickly and take ownership, and a huge thanks goes to my mentors and an incredible team. Winning this award feels very special and serves as a good opportunity to reflect on my path so far, celebrate everyone who has helped in some way and get ready for all the exciting things to come."

We’re committed to using our voice and expertise to influence positive change across the industries we serve. Through our appointments on key industry boards and steering groups -  including Ad Net Zero, the PPA, PPA Next Gen, AOP, and BSME in the UK alone - we actively contribute to shaping standards, driving sustainability, and championing innovation. This allows us to not only raise the bar for our industries, but also ensure we’re improving outcomes for our audiences and the communities we serve.

Donna Murphy, Deputy Managing Director, Haymarket Business Media, said: "I couldn’t be prouder of how HBM has continued to embrace our Impact mindset in every sense. Whether it’s through volunteering with our local charity partner, taking part in fundraisers like mental health walks and even the London Marathon. Alongside this, our brands continue to amplify vital conversations. From tackling climate change to empowering women and educating our specialist audiences, our content continues to prove how powerful a force for good we can be when we align our purpose with action."

Celia MacMillan, Director of People and Communications said: “Haymarket’s biggest asset has always been its people. As a privately owned, family business, we’ve worked hard to create an environment that values integrity, diversity, respect, and expertise. Our culture is rooted in trust, openness and accountability, and the feedback from our 1300+ colleagues consistently tells us that our commitment to inclusion and social responsibility feels real and genuine. That matters to us.

"Over the past year, we’ve continued to invest in developing talent at every level. We’ve promoted more than 100 people across the business and brought in new leadership across key global markets, while remaining focused on ensuring everyone has the tools and support to grow and thrive.”
